Balancoires

The light and colors, the movement, and the atmosphere come together in this piece in the harmonious way we have come to love in the works of Graciela Rodo Boulanger. Like much of Boulanger’s work, “Balancoires" reflects the contrast between the neutral background and the brightly colored figures. Each child is posing in an almost choreographed, dance-like stance—while still emoting the joy and lightness of swinging through the air without care or concern.
